I recently styled a winter baby shower for some very cool parents-to-be. The theme was “Baby It’s Cold Outside” and the color scheme was mainly white with grey and silver accents.
The sugar cookies where made by the very talented, Laury at There Should Always Be Cake and they were nothing short of perfection. The mom-to-be told me they were “the most beautiful cookies she’d ever seen” and I couldn’t agree more.
The cakes were made by Valencia bakery and were a clean white buttercream on the outside and pink inside for the big gender reveal. I spray painted a 4×4 wooden block and tied it with a satin grey ribbon. I wanted to create a pedestal for the cake that appeared to be a present.
DIY TIP: Fold the ends of your ribbon in half and cut a small triangle in the middle to create a professional look to the ends of your bow.
I am obsessed with these adorable paper honeycomb balls I purchased from IKEA. The variation of honeycomb sizes and colors was the perfect addition to a winter themed celebration.
Since there was going to be gender reveal at the shower, I wanted to add a voting table. I decided to make it a hot cocoa voting table with team boy/girl hot beverage cups. I am made all the signage for the bar using my trusty, Cricut cutting machine.
The personalized throw pillows were one of my favorite event elements and they also made a great keep sake for the parents-to-be.
